Spirit of Sharing (S.O.S) was founded, simply by, a desire to share. Since its inception in 2001, S.O.S. has had the opportunity to bring happiness to more than 130 North County families and providing a full Christmas to more than 335 children.  Spirit of Sharing accomplishes this by providing food, clothing, and educational materials (toys and books).  It is our goal to provide a stepping stone to a better future and lighten their holiday spirits.

     Together, we provide Thanksgiving and Christmas to our Marine families whose members are deployed overseas, as well as to those families with children requiring a little more assistance in our neighborhoods.  Local organizations helped by your generous donations include Casa De Amparo, Brother Benno's, Toys for Tots, and The Boys and Girls Club and the Salvation Army.

     Help is extended throughout the holiday season and it is our hope that, with the help of generous friends, like you, together we will be able to provide assistance as needed throughout the year.
     S.O.S. has a number of ways you can open your heart and give to our communities. The centerpiece of our fundraising efforts continues to be our Annual S.O.S. Silent Auction.  This is an online auction with items that generously donated by our community.  The items turn quality, usable items into much needed funds for purchasing food and toys for the families.  Besides auction items, we also welcome donations of non-perishable food supplies, hygiene products, toys, books and services. 

     As holiday season approaches, it evokes memories for many of us of the comfort of family. We hope to provide this feeling to those less fortunate by offering the essentials in life as well as life's simple pleasures.  You CAN help us make a difference.  

     One of the easiest ways to help is through our affliation with Albertson's Community Partners for ongoing contributions.  This is easy and it is absolutely FREE.  Just by using your savings card at Albertson's or Sav-on Drugs you will be contributing a percentage of every purchase you make to S.O.S..  Registering your Preferred Savings Card is as easy as completing a simple form available at our office, your neighborhood Albertson's, or by following the link to the Albertson's website.
     Of course, we do gratefully accept your cash or check donations as well. Spirit of Sharing is a 501(c)3 company with the Internal Revenue Service, allowing all contributions to be deductible for Federal and State tax purposes. We want you to know that this program is facilitated solely by volunteers and Transcontinental Management, Inc. and people like you.  We have no paid employees and 100% of all donations to S.O.S. will be used to directly assist families in our community.
